- Standard: you may hold trades through the news, but you may not open or close a trade from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a high-impact release. Doing so is a hard breach. A stop loss or other automation that fills in this window counts too.
- Swing: news trading is allowed.
High-impact news = the red events in the Forex Factory calendar, for the currencies of the instrument you trade (EURUSD: EUR and USD news; gold or NASDAQ: USD news). All-day events, tentative events and events without an exact time don’t count.
