What if I want to purchase an addon after I already bought an account?

Are there any exceptions to the account reset?
Yes, the Swing addon is the only exception. It can be purchased at any time, regardless of your current balance, without resetting your account.
Will I receive a discount on addons when purchasing after I already bought an account?
